Baltimore Orthodox Bible Bowl 2010

Dear Fathers, Brothers and Sisters,

The 3rd Annual Baltimore Orthodox Bible Bowl will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Baltimore. We warmly invite you and your Sunday School students to participate. It is a great event…each year it gets better.

What is the Baltimore Orthodox Bible Bowl?

• Orthodox youth from around the Baltimore region participate in friendly competition.
  

• Our youth study specific New Testament books and answer age appropriate questions.
  

• Sunday Schools from various Orthodox Churches participate – it’s Pan-Orthodox.
  

• In 2008 two teams competed at the inaugural event hosted by Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church.
  

• In 2009 five teams competed, held at Holy Cross Antiochian Orthodox Church
  

• In 2010 we’re expecting at least seven teams to compete at St. Andrew Orthodox Church
  

This is a great way to encourage your youth to study Holy Scripture and learn team work.  The Bible Bowl keeps growing each year…join us!
Please share this invitation and enclosed documents with all your Sunday School teachers, parents and students.
There is plenty of time to organize your teams, register for the event and prepare your youth for the competition. We hope that you can join us this year.
