Martyr Adauctus and his daughter St. Callisthene, of Ephesus (4th c.)

They lived in the city of Ephesus, where St. Adauctus was eparch. Because he did not want to give his daughter Callisthene to Emperor Maximian, the persecutor of Christians, St. Adauctus was banished to Melitene, Armenia, and there was beheaded (about 305- 313). St. Callisthene died in peace about the year 318.
