July 1, 2021 -- UPDATED
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Effective July 1, 2021, the State of Emergency and COVID-19 safety precautions are lifted by the State of Maryland and the City of Baltimore.
This is good news. Nevertheless, we remind you that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that individuals who are not fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear masks or facial coverings in public settings. Only those who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear protective masks.
Consequently, you are not required to wear a mask in our church. However, we strongly encourage masks for the unvaccinated and those who are at high risk. This rests on everyone’s conscience.
For those who are in a high-risk category, or who would like to continue to take extra precautions, our downstairs hall is always open and will operate as a mandatory mask zone. You may watch Divine Services on our large TV, and still partake in Confession and Holy Communion.
Our parish’s detailed precautions and guidelines are found here.
Both our Church Hierarchy and governmental authorities strongly encourage us to continue to take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Thank you for your prayers, concern, and support. Together as a parish family and with the help of God’s Grace, we will get through these difficulties.
