The Monk Evthymii of Syanzhemsk and Vologda Commemorated on January 20, April 11 The Monk Evthymii
of Syanzhemsk and Vologda – was born in Vologda, and took monastic vows at
the Saviour-Stone monastery at Lake Kuben. For some time he lived in a solitary
cell on the River Kuben, and then gave over the place to the Monk Alexandr of
Kushtsk and moved to Syanzhem, where he founded the Voznesenie / Ascension
